Low Carbon Steel Shot (S-70 to S-780) is produced with an ultra-clean low carbon chemistry (< 0.15% C) yielding a homogeneous bainitic microstructure. Unlike high carbon shots that undergo martensitic tempering, low carbon shots deform progressively rather than fracturing, providing up to 20-30% longer service life in wheel blast machines.
